DIVA stands for “Digital and International Virtual Academic Cooperation” and is a project funded by the BMBF and DAAD, which runs from 2020 to 2021. In the context of the IVAC project and led by the University of Education Ludwigsburg (Germany), the project aims at strengthening existing networks and building new ties between national and international partners in language teacher education. The consortium consists of three project partners; the coordinator in Ludwigsburg, the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts in Tel Aviv (Israel) and the Charles Darwin University in Darwin (Australia). Together, the project partners intend to extend their already existing programmes and develop new digital learning and teaching formats. The project builds on the experiences of the different partners. It is the overarching goal of the DIVA project to foster intercultural competences of pre-service teachers and teacher educators, as well as their ability to work in a team.
Our objectives are to…
promote digital teaching
integrate innovative didactical approaches into existing curricula
methodologically implement blended mobility
foster intercultural competences
„Particularly with regard to the current pandemic, e-learning and blended mobility are good options to further promote the internationalisation of research and teaching. This does not only enable us, as lecturers, to gain experiences in international settings, but also our students. Through this, the students get the chance to prepare themselves for their future work life in a globalised world.“
„Gerade in Zeiten der Pandemie sind digitale Lehrformate und blended mobility hervorragende Möglichkeiten, die Internationalisierung von Forschung und Lehre weiter voranzutragen. Diese Möglichkeiten eröffnen sich nicht nur uns Lehrenden, sondern bieten auch den Studierenden die Chance, internationalen Erfahrungen zu sammeln und sich damit für ihre berufliche Zukunft in einer weiter globalisierten Welt vorzubereiten“
